Online reviews of Physicians.

I have noticed online, that there is some discussion beginning to occur about Physicians having reviews of them and their practice posted online on review sites (like Yelp), with other generic businesses. Unfortunately, physicians feel that their practice is an extension of themselves, due to the personal and honest relationship between the doctor and the patient; therefore, when a negative review is posted the physician usually has a personal desire to do something about. Over at TechDirt.com they have had some discussions on this topic. I mention TechDirt, because I find that they have good discussions and insight into many current tech and internet topics. Their posts would be worth reading, as it is only a matter of time before some posts a review about your practice, and already having a plan of action may help mitigate the potential damage instead of expanding the damage.
