Dragon Dictation
Tue, 12/08/2009 - 08:19
The crew over at The Unofficial Apple Weblog just posted an article on Dragon Dictation app for the iPhone. http://www.tuaw.com/2009/12/08/dragon-dictation-comes-to-the-iphone-wow/ It uses the same engine as MacSpeech Dictate. Evidently it sends the data off to a US based data center to be processed. Currently the service is free, but they say in the future there likely will be charges. The app is currently free. You dictate some, hit stop and it sends it off. In a few seconds the text appears on the iPhone. In five minutes of playing, it did a good job with most word.. "paraganglioma" was "Hurricane Katrina my parent" LOL Overall, impressive for a phone. |
