Considering Switching?

Does anyone use just Mac word processorm with textexpander or other softward to generate notes without a full EMR. I am just finishing training and I am joining a paper oriented practice, and I would like to generate my own notes, save money, but not force the entire staff to convert to my computerized system. I would like to be efficient enough to show other partners the benefits of computerized system and possibly look at EMR in the future.

Can anyone give feedback to using Mac word processing without full EMR? Is it possible to setup multiple templates with their word processor?

In the past few months I've talked to hundreds of physicians who are contemplating switching to Apple computers -- most of them to the MacBookPro -- from their Windows-running PCs and laptops. And I've talked with many dozens who have made the switch. I have yet to hear from someone who made the switch and was unhappy about it.

However, it does make sense to consider a few things before you put down your money on a new Apple computer and put the PC on the shelf, or donate it to the local community college.
